Accident backs up traffic on I-680 southbound

YOUNGSTOWN — Traffic is backed up in the southbound lanes of Interstate 680 at the state Route 711 connector after a light pole was knocked down.

A spokesman for the police department said the pole is in the roadway and a crew from Ohio Edison is on the way to remove it.

The pole was knocked down as the result of a traffic accident about 4:10 p.m., the spokesman said.
