Paint the Ice Party, game at Covelli Centre

The Youngstown Phantoms will present the second annual Paint the Ice Party on Wednesday at Covelli Centre, followed by the Pink in the Rink hockey game Oct. 28.

Both events will raise awareness for breast cancer research. A portion of proceeds will go to the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center.

The hockey team invites all fans and the public to paint messages of support, remembrance, celebration and survival on the ice, which remain on view for the Pink in the Rink hockey game.

Tickets for the Paint the Ice Party are $20 and include space on the ice and all the painting materials, plus a ticket to the Pink in the Rink game. Those who already have game tickets can paint the ice for a $10 donation to Abdu Center. Doors open at 5 p.m., and painting ends at 7:30 p.m.
