HUNT & HIKE

Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Bring the family and stop by Ford Nature Center to locate 25 colorful leaves hidden to commemorate the park district’s 125th anniversary. Then go for a hike of your choice, perhaps on a trail along one our lakes to enjoy the autumn colors reflected on the water.

Now through to Nov. 27: Join us as we encourage you to “Take Time” to laugh, have fun, be thankful, to move, to cook, to de-stress and to get your tune-up. This six-week, online email experience is designed to help participants improve their health by encouraging physical activity, enjoying healthful foods, and practicing sound activity suggestions.

FUN WITH HERBS

Monday: The October Coffee with the Master Gardeners program will feature growing and incorporating herbs into the landscape. Join Marilyn McKinley for a fun experience with herbs from cooking to decorating to sachets – get the details on easy ways to grow and use herbs. This class promises to be educational, historical and for general entertainment purposes.
