Oakland kids theater offers ‘Aladdin’

The Oakland Center for the Arts’ Kids First Theater Initiative will present “Disney’s Aladdin Jr.” Friday and twice Saturday at Trinity Fellowship Church, 4749 South Ave.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
The production, with a cast and crew of more than 50 people, is being underwritten by a grant from the Ronald McDonald House Charites of Mahoning Valley & Western Pennsylvania.
Tickets are available by calling the Oakland’s box office.
The cast includes Alex Sanders of Canfield as Aladdin; Tommy DeLuca of Ursuline, Genie; Ally Grande of Sharon, Pa., as Jasmine; Isaac Powell of Hubbard, Jafar; Connor Pauley of Boardman, Sultan; Ethan Hess of Niles, Iago; Connor Pavlicko of Struthers, Razoul; Riley Burke of Ursuline, Carpet; Corryne Foster of Youngstown, also Carpet; Molly Burke, St. Christine’s, Raja; and Maddison Kutsch, Anna Sophia Viccari, Adriana Quinlan, Genevieve Quinlan and Natalie Kovacs of Boardman, all narrators.
Rounding out the cast are Isabella Davis, Elizabeth Amstutz, Juan Gomez, Aubrey Middlestead, Caroline Capuzella, Gianna Franklin, Emily Schlegel, Van Hoang, Jake Platt, Logan Pauley, Andrew Babyak, Noah Babyak, Leah Kovacs, Jackson Vanderbuilt-Boak and Paige Christoff.
Dancers from the Torrie’s Academy of Dance, Boardman, will also participate.
The production is directed by Brendan Byers, and Donna Downie and Set design is by Alexandra Vansuch.
