Globetrotters will return to Covelli

YOUNGSTOWN

The Harlem Globetrotters will return to Covelli Centre on Jan. 28.

The Globetrotters will put on their family-friendly comedy basketball exhibition twice that day: 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets for both shows are $22, $27, $35, $40, $55 and $75, and go on sale Nov. 1 at ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and at the Covelli Centre box office.

Ghost Walk enters final performances

WARREN

The annual Ghost Walk will take place for its final performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday in downtown Warren.

The walks begin at First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave. Hours are 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 ($5 for children 12 and under) and are available at trumbullarts.org, and at Mocha House in Warren, Simpson Gallery and Gifts and Trumbull Art Gallery. Group discounts are available for organizations.

Guided one-mile walking tours in the historic district leave every 10 minutes and include nine stops at ghostly sites from the city’s past.

Ghost Walk has become a popular tradition, and the Warren Trolley will transport walkers to downtown eateries, including Mocha House, Sunrise Inn, The Lime Tree, Speakeasy Lounge and others from 6 to 9 p.m.

Ghost Walk hoodies, long sleeves and T-shirts will be sold each night.

Polish artist in YSU lecture

YOUNGSTOWN

Polish artist Leslaw Tetla, head of the Interdisciplinary Actions Studio and Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Poland, will give a presentation at 2 p.m. Oct. 25 in Bliss Hall, Room 0018, on the Youngstown State University campus.

Tetla’s apearance is sponsored by the YSU art department. It is free to the public.

Leslaw Tetla is a winner of the Ministry of Culture and Tadeusz Kulisewicz Foundation scholarships, awarded at the Polish Contemporary Painting Festival in Szczecin. He is the 2016 Cleveland State University Visiting Polish Scholar and Kosciuszko Fellow.

Hs art deals with painting, objects and site-specific works.
