AUCTIONS

Immaculate Heart of Mary Social Concerns Committee will have a quarter auction fundraiser Saturday in the IHM Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd,, Austintown. The doors will open at 6 p.m., and the auction will start at 7. Tickets are $10 per person and include an auction paddle, homemade desserts, coffee, pop and water. Take quarters to bid on a wide variety of gift baskets and gift cards for adults and kids along with snacks and beverages. Tickets are limited; call Bea at 330-793-4843. North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, North Lima, will sponsor an auction at 6 p.m. Wednesday. A wide variety of merchandise will be available, including small household appliances, tools, Christmas items, gift certificates, theme baskets, baked goods and canned goods. St. Rose Quarter Auction will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 27 in Rosetta Hall, 48 E. Main St., Girard. Tickets are $5 each, available only in advance. There will be tables of eight. Featured will be gift cards, holiday crafts and gifts, baked goods, jewelry and more. Bidding paddles will be provided. Tickets are available at St. Rose Parish office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday. West Mahoning County Lions Club will host a quarter auction Nov. 5 at Deerfield Town Hall, 1450 Cleveland-East Liverpool Road (state Route 14), Deerfield. Paddles are $5 each. A lunch counter and 50-50 raffle will be featured. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the auction begins at 7. Funds will be used to pay for a Pilot Dog. BINGO/CARD PARTIES

Infant Jesus of Prague Guild of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sponsor a luncheon card and bingo social Nov. 6. Doors open at 11 a.m., lunch will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. and bingo starts at 1. There will be door prizes. Cost is $6; keep the ticket for admission. St. Patrick Altar Guild will host a card-bingo party and salad buffet from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Patrick Social Hall, 1420 Oak Hill, Youngstown. Tickets are $5 per person at the door. There is a handicap-accessible ramp and elevator on the south side of the church and a secured parking lot.

CRAFT SHOWS

American Association of University Women is sponsoring a craft and vendor show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 5 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2860 E. Market St., Warren. Admission is free, and there also will be a bake sale and lunch. The cost to reserve an eight-foot table and two chairs is $25. Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center,14 E. State St., is hosting a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 12. Vendors are welcome, and tables are $10 each. FESTIVALS

Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St., is sponsoring its 76th annual Bazaar and Fall Festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. Items available include trash and treasure, books, CDs, DVDs, clothing, housewares, furniture, toys, handcrafted gifts, decorations, baked goods, coleslaw, peanut brittle and a silent auction. Proceeds will benefit Operation Blessing, Canfield Care Net, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, the church preschool and other community needs.

FUNDRAISERS

First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will host a Feast of Salads, fashion show and basket auction Saturday. The doors will open at 10 a.m. Donations of auction items are welcomed. The proceeds will benefit Protestant Family Services. If necessary, call PFS at 330-746-4600 to pick up donations.

SALES

First Unitarian Universalist Church of Youngstown, 1105 Elm St. (next to Wick Park), will sponsor a collectibles and book sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The sale is open to all and includes collectibles, art, jewelry and antiques, along with hardcover and paperback books, CDs, DVDs and audio books. Snacks and baked goods will be available for purchase. Sales will be on a cash and carry basis. Proceeds support church outreach projects and operations.

Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for entire family from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. October specials are buy two items and get the third free and 70 percent off all jeans, shorts and slacks.

Helping Other Women (H.O.W.), will host an indoor garage sale fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at 1555 Belmont Ave., next to Goldie’s Flower Shop.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, will host a Trunk or Treat free family event from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 30. There will be wagon rides, candy and games. For information call Irene at 330-758-8189.
