SENIOR CITIZENS


AARP 4611 East will meet Wednesday at St. Augustine Episcopal Church, 614 Parmelee Ave., Youngstown. The executive board meeting at 11 a.m. will be followed by a general meeting at noon and a program by a member of Links Inc. There will be a 50-50 raffle. Members are asked to take school supplies. The group will attend Reed’s Chapel AME Church, 1939 Jacobs Road, Youngstown, at 11 a.m. Oct. 23; the Rev. Stephen Chifunda is pastor. Coitsville Seniors will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of Boris and Cathy Vuksanovice, 5577 Villa Marie Road, Coitsville Township. Attendees are asked to take a casserole. There will be a bonfire, dress for the weather. Plans for the annual Christmas party will be discussed. There will be no meeting in November. October birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. A 50-50 raffle will take place and card bingo will be played.

Croatian Pensioners will meet at noon Thursday at the Croatian Home on Vestal Road in Youngstown.

Girard OldTimers will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lamancusa Restaurant, Trumbull Road.

Holy Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Parish Hall, 2729 Center Road, Poland. Sister Pat Fesler, Higgins Reardon Funeral Home grief support coordinator, will share information dealing with grief and healing after a loss. Liberty 55 Plus Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Assembly, Cardinal Drive, Liberty. LeeAnne Martyak will preside, and hostesses are Jennie Mrosko and Mary Palko. Cards will be played and October birthdays will be acknowledged.

Retired Registered Nurses Interest Group will meet for a luncheon at 1 p.m. Oct. 25 at Western Reserve United Methodist Church on Canfield Road in Canfield. The event is open to any retired nurse. Guests with last names beginning A-G take an entree, H-O take a salad, and P-Z provide a dessert. Hats, gloves and scarves will be collected for Fish Samaritan House.
