Krish Mohip, Youngstown schools CEO, will be in Washington, D.C., on Monday and Tuesday to represent the school district at a U.S. Department of Education workshop titled “School Diversity in Action: Strategies for Increasing Diversity and Fostering Equitable Social Environments.”

Candidates forum

The League of Women Voters of Mercer County and Stony Point Grange are sponsoring a public forum for candidates representing the 7th, 8th and 17th state house districts from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Thiel College Howard Miller Center, 15 Zimmerman Way.

Dispose of medications

MERCER, PA.

The Pennsylvania State Police Mercer Barracks will be assisting the Drug Enforcement Administration in a drug take-back program designed to allow the public to safely and legally dispose of unused or unwanted medications. Interested parties can stop by the PSP Mercer location at 826 Franklin Road any time until 8 a.m. Saturday. Place the medications in a box with a “Got Drugs?” label on it.
