The final pretrial hearing in the Bresha Meadows aggravated murder trial in Trumbull County Juvenile Court is at 9 a.m. Nov. 22, according to Scott Bombeck, Family Court administrator.

Bresha, 15, of Hunter Street Northwest, was scheduled for a pretrial hearing Oct. 6, but Bombeck notified The Vindicator Oct. 5, saying it had been canceled.

Bresha is charged in the shooting death of her father, Jonathan Meadows Sr., 41, July 28 at the Meadows home. She was 14 at the time.

Fundraiser

Up a Creek Tavern, 4793 E Market St., is raising awareness for the 4,000 Ohio children in foster care Saturday through Nov. 30 with Pumpkin Pint for a Purpose.

Every Jack-O Traveler Pumpkin Shandy Pint bought during that time will help support Northeast Ohio Adoption Services, a local nonprofit agency. All proceeds raised from this effort will go to the agency.

AUSTINTOWN

Austintown Local School District administrators are asking for parents, students, staff and more to give back to beloved 35-year volunteer Coach Bear.

Coach Bear, David Patrick, fell at the beginning of the school year and broke his hip. He has been recovering.

Bear’s Austintown Falcon family is raising money to help with his medical bills. Donations can be made through www.gofundme.com/2tt6u7mc.

Crime watch

The Beaver Police Department’s Crime Watch will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at Shepherd of the Valley, 9111 Sharrott Road. Beaver Fire Chief Russ Osborne will be the guest speaker. October is fire prevention month. Local crime statistics will be covered.
