GIRLS SOCCER

Boardman 4, Beaver Local 2

BOARDMAN

The Beavers led 1-0 at halftime, but Boardman responded with four goals from Alisa Earvin. Cara Higgins and Cassie Stitt each had an assist. Abbie Sammartino started in goal for Boardman for the first 10 minutes before making way for Julia Yauger, who made eight saves. Both goalies conceded one goal. Annie Parker scored twice for Beaver Local. Courtney Elliott had 13 saves for the losing side.

Poland 4, Newton Falls 0

NEWTON FALLS

Poland finishes the regular season at 9-5-2. Jessica Miller led the Bulldogs with two goals, and Maggie Sebest and Kailyn Brown each added one. Sebest, Brown, Alexis Demain and Brianna Craig each had an assist. Goalie Micaiah Butler had seven saves for Newton Fall (9-6-1).

Howland 2, South Range 0

HOWLAND

Amarah Howard and Bella Merlo each scored a goal in the second half for Howland (9-6-1). The Tigers also held the Raiders to zero shots on goal. Morgan Smith made 13 saves for South Range (12-2-2).

Grand Valley 4, Pymatuning Valley 1

ORWELL

With a hat trick, Grand Valley’s Alyssa Clason is now the Mustangs’ all-time leading score. Ella Crum chipped in a goal for Grand Valley. Morgan Slivers had the lone goal for Pymatuning Valley. Caitlyn Stafford made six saves and Pymatuning Valley’s Haleigh Pavlovski made nine.

BOYS SOCCER

Newbury 2, Maplewood 2

MECCA

Tommy Rink scored both goals for Maplewood (11-1-2). Johnson and Hamby each contributed a goal for the Black Knights (10-2-1). Piczer made five saves for Newbury and Boyd had one for Maplewood.

VOLLEYBALL

Hubbard 25-25-25, Lakeside 12-4-12

HUBBARD

Adria Powell had 24 kills and two blocks for Hubbard. Emily Krinos dished out 36 assists and Kristen Fahndrich scored 10 and dug 14 balls. Tamara Olvarria scored four points and had nine digs for Lakeside.

Brookfield 25-25-25, Liberty 13-21-17

LIBERTY

Melina Manning had four kills and 16 digs for Liberty and Erica Carnes made five assists. Danielle Evans had two blocks. No stats were reported for Brookfield.

Newton Falls 24-25-25-26-15, Cardinal Mooney 26-20-20-28-13

NEWTON FALLS

Izzy Kline had 24 kills, five blocks and 12 points for Newton Falls (20-1). Kayla Barreca contributed 20 kills and Elizabeth Boone had 43 assists, 26 digs and 12 points for for the Tigers. Autumn DeSantis had 34 kills and 44 digs for Mooney (9-13). Maria Pelini dished 49 assists and Ally Davenport had 29 digs.

LaBrae 25-25-25, Champion 17-15-23

LEAVITTSBURG

Morgan Meyer had nine kills for LaBrae (10-12). Arianna Geordan dished 15 assists and Haylie Kiser had 20 digs. Summer Fassnacht had 22 assists and two aces for Champion. Morgan Tenney spiked 11 kills.

Niles 25-25-25, Warren Harding 16-11-14

NILES

Emma Dellinger had 13 points, seven aces and four digs for Niles. Myah Busse had nine kills, Gabby Miller had six kills and seven points and Jane Parry had 22 assists. Vivian Keller had nine assists and five digs and Caleena Triumble has five kills for Harding.

West Branch 25-25-25, Canton South 21-19-20

CANTON TOWNSHIP

Vernice Ormiston had 17 kills and 13 blocks for West Branch (17-5). Natalie Zuchowski put up 17 kills and eight blocks. Jessica Bock had five kills and two blocks for Canton South (10-10).

Hubbard 25-25-25, Girard 20-13-21

HUBBARD

Adria Powell spiked 23 kills for Hubbard. Addy Jarvis added 11 kills and 13 digs. Makayla Trebella had 10 kills, 15 digs and 10 points for Girard.
