Boar’s Head Group of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve chicken dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $8. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will host a dine-in or drive-through roasted chicken dinner from 2:30 until 7 p.m. Dinners will feature a half-chicken, choice of potato, vegetable, coleslaw, bread and butter. A children’s menu is available. Cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children. A family dinner option is available for $5 per person for a minimum of four people. Credit cards will be accepted.

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The dinner includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie for $7. Drive up to the door and someone will take the dinners to your car. Call 330-549-2588 to reserve your dinners. Leave your name, phone number, the number of dinners you want and approximate time you will arrive. A percentage of the profits is used for local mission projects.

Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, will host a drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m., or until sold out. Cost is $7 and includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. Pepperoni rolls are available for $2. To reserve your dinner or rolls, call 330-792-5889 the day of the sale. No need to get out of your car, just drive to the back of the church and your order will be brought to you.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $8 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Phone orders may be made from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and beginning at 7 a.m. Friday at 330-755-1316. Orders can be picked up from noon to 2 p.m.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday at the church hall. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $7 for a baker’s dozen. (no containers necessary). Walk-ins welcome. Use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.75 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from noon to 3 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SATURDAY

Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., will host a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu includes meatballs, salad bar, bread and butter, beverage and homemade dessert. Adult tickets are $9 and ages 6 to 12 eat for $4.50, 5 and under eat free. Takeouts will be available beginning at 3:30. For ticket information call 330-448-1001.

Caring Hands Food Ministry will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at First Church of Christ, 20 W. Main St., East Palestine. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for kids, ages 4 and under eat for free. Carryout will be available by calling 330-426-6271. Proceeds will go to Caring Hands Food Ministry.

Struthers United Methodist Church Youth Group and Steel Valley Cheer are co-hosting a spaghetti dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. at Struthers UMC, 33 Sexton St. The menu includes salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Adult dinners are $7 and $4 for children 12 and under.

SUNDAY

Jackson Township Fire Dept. and Auxiliary are hosting an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jackson Township Administration Building, 10613 Mahoning Ave., North Jackson. It will include beverages. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for ages 5 to 12, 4 and under eat for free.

Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., across from the library, will host a roast beef dinner from noon to 2 p.m. The dinner is sponsored by the Men’s Organization, proceeds will benefit mission projects. St. Stanislaus Catholic War Veterans Post 1222 Auxiliary will serve stuffed cabbage dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown. The meal will include two cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll and butter and dessert. Tickets are $10 for adults and $4 for ages 6 to 10. Takeouts are available.

TAKING ORDERS

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave., North Lima, will be selling homemade apple dumplings Oct. 20 through 22. Call 330-549-2588 to place your order. All orders must include your name, phone number, quantity wanted and whether dumplings should be baked or unbaked or frozen unbaked. They can be picked up at the church from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 20 and 21 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 22. Cost is $3.25 per dumpling. The profits will benefit local missions.

Holy Apostles Parish, St. Stephen of Hungary Church, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for a takeout stuffed cabbage sale. Cabbages are cooked, packed by the dozen in a covered foil pan and ready to be served or frozen. Cost is $20 per dozen. Call Dorothy at 330-783-2252 to order. UPCOMING

Berlin Center United Methodist Church, 15611 Akron Canfield Road, will host a turkey supper Oct. 19. Dining reservation times are 4:45 p.m., 5:45 and 6:45. Carryouts will begin at 4:30 p.m. The menu includes stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, applesauce, rolls, beverage and dessert. Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield Niles-Road, will host a free supper at the corner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Oct. 20. This is a community outreach each month. Donations will be accepted to continue the program.
