The Volunteers of the Trumbull County Pound and Community are sponsoring two fundraisers this month. Proceeds go to pay an ongoing veterinary bill and rescue of dogs at the pound and dogs in need in Trumbull County. Visit Volunteers of the Trumbull County Pound and Community on Facebook.

Pumpkins for Pups: The sale of pumpkins and cornstalks is underway from 9:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 29 at Trumbull County Dog Pound, 7501 Anderson Ave., Howland Township, off of Route 46. Going to the Dogs: A quarter auction is scheduled next Tuesday at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, by the pound volunteers and Rey of Hope Scholarship. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with auction at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5; pizza is $1. For information, call 330-507-2584 or send email to fundraisingquarterauction@yahoo.com.
