AUCTIONS

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will sponsor an auction at 6 p.m. Oct. 19 featuring small household appliances, tools, Christmas items, gift certificates, theme baskets, baked goods and canned goods. St. Rose Quarter Auction will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 27 in Rosetta Hall, 48 E. Main St., Girard. Tickets are on sale for $5 each, available only in advance. There will be tables of eight. Featured will be gift cards, holiday crafts and gifts, baked goods, jewelry and more. Bidding paddles will be provided. Tickets are available at St. Rose Parish office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday. BAZAARS

Zion Lutheran Church, 10857 Main St., New Middletown, will host a bazaar and spaghetti dinner from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday. It will feature a basket auction, handmade items, baked goods, crafts, jewelry, white elephants and miscellaneous. The dinner will include homemade spaghetti sauce, meatballs, sausage, salad, bread and butter, dessert and beverages and will be served from 4:30 to 7. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 7 to 12 and free for kids 6 and younger. Takeouts will be available. For information call the church office at 330-542-3821.

BINGO/CARD PARTIES

St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown, will host its annual fall bingo and card party at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Maxwell Hall (enter from back parking lot). Admission is $5 and includes lunch. Tickets will be sold at the door. The event is sponsored by St. Brendan Altar and Rosary Society. St. Patrick Altar Guild will host a card-bingo party and salad buffet from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at St. Patrick Social Hall, 1420 Oak Hill, Youngstown. Tickets are $5 per person at the door. There is a handicap-accessible ramp and elevator on the south side of the church and a secured parking lot.

CRAFT SHOWS

Campbell’s Fall Craft Show will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday in Roosevelt Park, 351 Tenney Ave. The show will feature a variety of craft vendors and a basket auction. There will be crafts, face painting and a pumpkin contest for children. The event is sponsored by the Campbell Elementary-Middle PTO. Vendors are welcome to apply. Our Lady of the Lakes Ladies Guild will host a craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 5 at Our Lady of the Lakes Family Center, 1254 Grandview Road, Lake Milton. Admission and parking are free, and the center is handicap accessible. There will be a lunch counter and a 50-50 raffle. Vendors are needed; tables can be reserved for $25. FUNDRAISERS

First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will host a feast of salads, fashion show and basket auction Oct. 22. The doors will open at 10 a.m. Donations of auction items are welcome; call PFS at 330-746-4600 if pickup is needed. The proceeds will benefit Protestant Family Services.

RAFFLES

Rockview Christian Church, 925 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, is sponsoring a basket raffle Sunday. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door. Doors open at 1 p.m., and the drawing will be at 3. There will be more than 100 prizes and 50-50 raffles; refreshments will be available.

SALES

Canfield Republican Women’s Club is sponsoring a Red, White, and Blue Elephant rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Youngstown Shrine Club Pavilion, 1735 W. South Range Road, North Lima. All proceeds will benefit the YSU ROTC Scholarship Program, AMVETS, the War VET Museum and the Canfield Laundromat Library project.

Girard First Christian Church, 140 E. Broadway, will have a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There also will be a bake sale and light luncheon. Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for the entire family from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. October specials are buy two items and get the third free and 70 percent off all jeans, shorts and slacks.

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, is sponsoring a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Lunch will be available.

Shepherd of the Valley–Niles, 1500 McKinley Ave., is hosting an open house and garage sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The public is invited to tour the independent apartments, skilled nursing and the assisted living building. Independent residents will be hosting a garage sale in the Community Center. TRIPS

Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary in Salem is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City on Oct. 29 for a shopping trip as a fundraiser. Participants will be dropped off at Macy’s early the next morning and return late that evening. The cost is $100 per seat. All proceeds benefit the pets at Alchemy Acres.
