YOUNGSTOWN

The rights to “IMAGES: Remembrances of the Holocaust – The Eva Schloss Story” is now available to schools and theaters who want to produce the play.

A shorter version of the play will also be available to schools that wish to present it during the school day.

“IMAGES,” written by J.E. Ballantyne Jr. of Youngstown, premiered in August at the Youngstown Playhouse, starring local actor Molly Galano.

A production will be staged at a Wisconsin theater in January, said Ballantyne, and a tour will begin next year. A production in New Castle, Pa., is already scheduled, with about six other dates in discussion.

“IMAGES” is a one-woman show that tells the life story of Holocaust survivor Schloss, who was a childhood friend of Anne Frank. It is augmented by multi-media scenes.
