Historical society meets Wednesday

NEW CASTLE, PA.

Ed Petrus, a member of the Lawrence County Historical Society, will talk about interesting “residents” of the cemetery, their tombstones and epitaphs at the Lawrence County Historical Society meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Clavelli History Center, 408 N. Jefferson St.

Many of New Castle’s forefathers are buried there, including Henry C. Falls, who sold 126 acres to P. J. Watson and others to lay out the cemetery.
