Victorian clothing is lecture topic
WARREN
Sara Hume, curator of the Sutliff Museum, will give a free presentation titled “Inside Out: Revealing Clothing’s Secrets” at 9:20 a.m. Thursday at the museum, located on the second floor of Warren public library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW.
The lecture is part of the Victorian Collections and Coffee series at the museum.
It will include detailed photographs of the interiors of garments spanning the 18th to the mid-20th century in order to highlight the workmanship and secret inner workings of custom garments.
Attendees are invited to bring one or two pieces of their own collection for the speaker to comment on during an interactive segment of the program.
