Details: America Needs Fatima focuses on a campaign to spread the Fatima message in the United States. The miracle at Fatima was the appearance of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three children. The Blessed Virgin asked for the daily offering of prayer, penance and sacrifice in reparation for sin and for the conversion of sinners and that the rosary be prayed daily for reparation for sin and world peace. The miracle at Fatima was not only the appearance of the Blessed Mother but what is called the miracle of the sun, which became unusually bright and scenes of the mysteries of the rosary appeared. During the apparition, it rained; but once it was over, everything including onlookers’ clothing was dry.

Praying the rosary: At Fatima, the Blessed Virgin Mary called herself the Lady of the Rosary. The rosary itself has a crucifix and beads. The beads are used as markers to what prayer should be recited. Prayers, said in a set pattern, include the “Our Father,” “Hail Mary,” “Glory Be” and “Hail Holy Queen.”
