Garden Forum names September winners

YOUNGSTOWN

The Garden Forum of Youngstown hosted a horticulture flower show Sept. 17 at Fellows Riverside Gardens.

First place winners in horticulture were: Bill Black, Alice Marchione, Harry Potts, public; Sheila Bowman, Nature Lovers; Mary Lou Flere, Pearl Marlos, Gleaners; Mary Grace Fowler, Holborn Herb Guild; Joyce Habeger, Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society; Peggy Potts, Johnny Appleseed; and Rodney Toth, Men’s Garden Club.

First place winners in design were: Sheila Bowman, Nature Lovers; Pearl Marlos, Gleaners; and Beverly Italiano, Ikebana.

Special awards were received by Rodney Toth for his horticulture entry (marigold) “Lofty Lady” and Beverly Italiano for her design in “Dinner by Firelight.”
