Marquis L. Gary, 18, of Glenwood Street Northeast, was sentenced to five years in prison Tuesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for entering a home and robbing four people at gunpoint.

Weathersfield Township police said Gary walked into a home on Anderson Morris Road on May 7, climbing the stairs to a second-floor bedroom and taking cellphones and money from the victims – three males and a female age 16 to 23.

Gary left in a blue Cobalt with one of the victims following him in his car into Niles while calling police.

Officers arrested Gary and two other males in the car behind the Hometown Buffet at the Eastwood Mall complex.

Police found a gun in the car that fires plastic pellets. Also found were marijuana and cash.

One of the men in the car, James D. Spitler, 18, of Fulton Street in Niles, is facing similar charges as Gary. The other man in the car, Jacob A. Taylor, 18, of DeForest Road in Niles, was convicted in Niles Municipal Court of a misdemeanor complicity charge in exchange for his cooperation with investigators.
