Western Reserve’s Ashleigh Rowley set a meet record while taking first at the 2016 Clipper Invitational. The senior’s time of 20:25.3 beat out the old record set by Austintown Fitch’s Carissa Jenkins (20:32.8) set in 2010. Beaver Local won the team competition with a score of 34.
On the boys’ side, Cuyahoga Falls recorded a perfect score of 15. Runners in first through eight place were all Black Tigers. The highest finish for a local runner was Columbiana’s Jacob Conner (19:16.3) who took ninth.
