Staff report

BOARDMAN

A man was arrested in Boardman after a 45-minute standoff with police at a home on Pine Tree Lane near White House Lane, which began about 5:30 p.m. when township police served an arrest warrant for domestic violence.

According to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, the suspect told police he would not come out of the house. The suspect’s wife was in the house during the stand-off.

Police, including the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team (CRT), a multi-agency special weapons and tactics (SWAT) team, eventually talked the man into giving himself up without injury. No one was hurt in the incident.
