Reyers Shoe Store of Sharon, Pa., recently won the Gold Medal Service Award by Footwear Insights, an industry trade magazine. Reyers is a 130-year-old family business.

Giant Eagle has been selected as the Catalyst Award winner for Regional Business Employer of the Year by The Arc because of its commitment to hiring and supporting people with intellectual and development disabilities.

The Arc advocates for and serves people with disabilities, including Down syndrome, autism, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, cerebral palsy and other diagnoses.

The mortgage lending team at Farmers National Bank has added to its team with the hiring of Doug Owen as a mortgage loan consultant. Owen will be located out of Farmers National Bank’s Calcutta branch.

With more than 17 years of experience in mortgage lending, Owen brings with him a wealth of expertise in home loan programs.

Before joining the team at Farmers, Owen worked with other large and small financial institutions as a mortgage lender.

As part of the Farmers mortgage lending team in Calcutta, Owen will assist customers to find the right home loan program to fit their financial needs.
