Diver set to be inducted into bowling hall

Norma Diver will be inducted today into the Youngstown-Salem USBC Women’s Bowling Association’s Hall of Fame.

Diver has been a member of the Youngstown Women’s Bowling Association for 68 years. She has been the director of the YSWBA for 17 years.

Diver and her husband, John, bought Colonial Lanes in 1995 and built Amron Lanes in 1998. She has bowled in numerous tournaments including the 9 Pin Tap, Ohio Women’s Bowling Association’s state and WIBC national events.

The organization’s 40th annual Bowling Hall of Fame Induction will be at A La Carte Catering. Awards for games, series, high averages and 700 series will be presented.

Also honored will be Karen Kailer, the organization’s Secretary of the Year. She has been a secretary for Wednesday Night Bowelerettes and West Side Gals.
