Breakfast will benefit violence victims
LISBON
Christina House, a program of Catholic Charities Regional Agency, will host the Purple Door breakfast Thursday at St. George Parish Hall, 271 W. Chestnut St.
Registration will be at 8:30 a.m., and the program will begin at 8:45. It will focus on what can happen to victims behind closed doors and describes how victims can become survivors of domestic violence.
A purple door will be on display at the courthouses in Lisbon throughout the month of October.
Information on domestic violence will be available, and visitors will be invited to sign the door as a show of support for victims.
A traveling display door will be placed in various locations throughout Columbiana County during the month.
This event is sponsored by Christina House, Columbiana County Department of Job and Family Services and Ozer Ministries of East Palestine.
The event is free and open to the public. Reservations for the breakfast are due Monday by calling 330-420-0845 or emailing nostick@ccregional.org.
