Krichbaum denies man’s request for early release
YOUNGSTOWN
A Mahoning County Common Pleas Court judge has denied a request for early release from prison from a man he sent there for six years in 2012 for reckless homicide with a firearm specification.
Without explanation, Judge R. Scott Krichbaum denied the request from Gregory Carlini, 42, of Bancroft Avenue, who pleaded guilty to that charge in the death of a 33-year-old woman.
Defense lawyer J. Gerald Ingram said Carlini is remorseful and has been successfully rehabilitated and that the Feb. 26, 2012, shooting was accidental and “occurred during a sex game gone awry.”
