Boardman trustees make progress in traffic situation
BOARDMAN
Township trustees gave an update Monday of their progress to resolve the traffic situation on Green Bay Drive.
Administrator Jason Loree said township officials got permission of the property owner on the corner of Green Bay and Forest Lake Drive to trim the brush blocking the view around the bend on Green Bay. The trustees also said they have had talks with FirstEnergy about installing streetlights for better visibility on the bend.
Neighbors approached the trustees about the problem more than a month ago, saying cars were speeding down the road and there were too many cars parked on Green Bay. Some residents said the bend around the portion of the street was dangerous because of the speeding cars.
