Sam Morocco, a personal insurance executive at Gem Young Insurance & Financial Services Inc. in Canfield, has earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional designation from The American College of Financial Services in Bryn Mawr, Pa.

EASTER SEALS

Easter Seals Disability Services recently announced Jessica Slaughter has joined the therapy department as a license physical therapist specializing in orthopedic neurological, vestibular and developmental diagnosis in adults and pediatrics.

Amy Summerville has also joined as a licensed speech-language pathologist.

MONTROSE 100

The Montrose Group recently released the Montrose 100 – a list of middle marketing companies producing high-wage jobs transforming the Ohio economy. Covering all corners of the Buckeye State, the Montrose 100 are growing their market share and succeeding where other companies are struggling.

Locally, the following companies were named on the list: Warren Fabricating and Machining of Hubbard; Ball Aerosol and Specialty Packaging of Hubbard; McDonald Steel Corp. of McDonald; Falcon Foundry Co. of Lowellville; Drake Manufacturing Services Co. of Warren; Eris Medical Technologies of Youngstown; and General Extrusions of Youngstown.

AWARDED

At its 2016 National Dealer Meeting, Ricoh Americas Corp., a global leader of digital office equipment, presented American Business Center Inc. with its chairman’s award. The award is presented annually to only one of Ricoh’s more than 400 dealers across the U.S.

The award is given to the Ricoh dealer that best exemplifies the qualities that help grow and improve business.

ABC recently became a dedicated Ricoh dealer, increased sales of Ricoh’s high-end, high-volume production units, and has focused on increasing sales of Ricoh’s CHAMPS and IT services.

Dr. Rebecca Brown of Salem was sworn in as the new president of the Ohio Optometric Association at the organization’s annual EastWest Eye Conference in October.
