Fundraiser for Trumbull pound

A basket auction and Dine Out 4 Paws fundraiser will take place Dec. 3 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Barrel33, 8208 E. Market St.
Guests will have a chance to win gift baskets, gift cards and other prizes
Proceeds will go to the Volunteers of the Trumbull County Pound and Community for the vetting, spaying, neutering, vaccinations, collars and harnesses for needy dogs.

Southside academy sets Christmas show

Southside Fine Arts Academy will present its first Christmas Showcase at 3 p.m. Dec. 4 in Fairview Arts and Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown-Poland Road.
The showcase will include a Christmas pageant including all children from the academy and children from Neighborhood Ministries.
There also will be an art show, a display of the children’s creative writing and poetry works, drum circle and special performances by children. Santa Claus will make a visit.
The event is open to the public. Admission is free.
