Rebecca Gregory | Dr. Karthik Vijayan

Rebecca Christine Gregory of Cleveland and Dr. Karthik Vijayan of Youngstown exchanged vows at a ceremony Dec. 12, 2015, at Sri Lakshmi Narayan Temple, officiated by Sri Ramachandra Bhattar. A second ceremony took place at Grace United Methodist Church in Warren, officiated by the Rev. Kyle Tennant. A reception followed at Trumbull Country Club.

Parents of the bride are James and Jayne Gregory of Cortland, and parents of the groom are Dr. Vijayan Perumal and Dr. Alli Vijayan of Pollachi, India.

The couple took a wedding trip to Hocking Hills, Ohio, and Ottawa, Canada. They reside in Chagrin Falls. They also traveled to the groom’s home in India in March for a wedding reception with family and friends.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Kent State University Trumbull and is studying for a doctor of medicine degree from Cleveland State University and Northeast Ohio Medical University. She worked as a registered nurse at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown and at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland.

The groom earned a doctor of medicine degree from JJM Medical College in India. He works for Northside Medical Center as an internal medicine physician.

The bride’s sister, Sarah Arquilla, was matron of honor.

Dr. Amrinder Bhatti performed the duties of best man.

Christopher Gregory, the bride’s brother, and Robert Arquilla, the bride’s brother-in-law, served as ushers.
