ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at noon Dec. 3 at V2 Wine Bar Trattoria, 100 Federal Plaza, Youngstown. Warren Women’s Connection, an affiliate of Stonecroft Ministries, invites all women and men to its Christmas luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled a neighborhood group meeting of Southington So-Sews at 10 a.m. Monday at Southington Christian Church, 3285 state Route 534, for a Christmas party. LIBRARY FRIENDS

Hubbard Friends of the Library will meet Monday in the main library meeting room, 436 W. Liberty St. A social time at 6 p.m. will precede a business meeting. This will be the last meeting of the year. An Americorp representative will be the speaker. There will be a “get to know you better” game, a book sale report and input for next year’s sale. Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will have a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. It will feature Santa’s gift giveaway, music by Bill Rotar and a discussion by Cindy Cox of Georgetown, Texas, on “Mistaken Identity.” The cost is $13.50 and includes lunch. SUPPORT GROUPS

Diabetes Partnership of the Mahoning Valley will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Stonebridge Grill in Boardman. This is the last meeting of 2016. November is Diabetes Awareness Month and among other items to be discussed will be the presentation to Midlothian Free Health Clinic.

NAMI Mahoning Valley offers support groups for those who deal with mental illness. Family support groupmeetings take place the first Thursday of each month in Trumbull County at 11 a.m. at the Girard Library, 105 E. Prospect St., and on the second Tuesday of each month in Mahoning County at 7 p.m. at the Alta Care Group, 142 Javit Court, Austintown. Connection support group meetings for individuals with a mental health diagnosis take place at 1:30 p.m. each Thursday at the Community Center, 1344 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, and at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at the Alta Care.
