Cardinal Mooney High School is hosting an alumni weekend from Wednesday through Nov. 29 for the Mooney family to come together for these social and charitable events: 7 p.m. Wednesday, All-Class Reunion Bash, Ryes the Bar/Imbibe Martini Bar, 124 W. Federal St., Youngstown; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, alumni open house at the high school, 2545 Erie St., Youngstown; 7 p.m. Saturday, meet at Cassese’s MVR, 410 N. Walnut Ave., Youngstown, featuring a 50-50 raffle; all day Monday, Cyber Monday Sale at the Cardinals’ Nest at the high school; Nov. 29, CMHS will launch Giving Tuesday by making a donation to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley on behalf of all Lumen Christi eighth-graders in the Youngstown Diocese. Other charitable endeavors involving the Mooney family will take place throughout the day.

East High School January and June Classes of 1949 will meet at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Johnny’s.

The Rayen High School Class of 1965 will host a 70th birthday celebration on a Royal Caribbean Cruise ship, Majesty of the Seas, March 3-6, 2017. There is still time to make reservations with various cabin/amenities available. Call Royal Caribbean reservations at 800-465-3595, select option 4, and specify group 4330864, “Rayen 70th Celebration.” Full payment must be received by Dec. 18. Each evening the class will be dining together at 6 p.m. Several cruise events include a meet-and-greet at 5 p.m. March 3, a birthday party with cake, sparkling wine toast, open bar and a DJ on March 4; and a night-cap cocktail farewell party the evening of March 5. A block of rooms has been secured for March 2 at the Orlando airport Doubletree Hotel with a $159 plus tax group rate. Their cancellation policy is 24-hours before the arrival date without penalty. They also will honor this group rate for March 6. All reservations must be received by Dec. 31, guaranteed with a credit card. A shuttle from the hotel to the ship will be finalized in January 2017.
