COOKIE WALKS

St. Joseph the Provider Cultural Society of Christ, the Good Shepherd Parish is sponsoring a cookie walk Dec. 10 at the church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Doors will open at 9 a.m.; the sale begins at 11 until sold out. Cookies will cost $8 per pound and specialty cookies will cost $6 per dozen for clothespin cookies, maple twists, tarts and kiffles. First Congregational Church of Wayne, Ladies Missionary Society, is sponsoring a Cookie Dash from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or until sold out Dec. 1 at Wayne Town Hall, corner of Routes 322 and 193, Wayne Center, Ohio. Homemade cookies will sell for $3.50 per dozen.

CRAFT SHOWS

Clarks Mills United Methodist Church, 3813 Hadley Road, Clarks Mills, Pa., is hosting a craft, bake and rummage sale and basket auction from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 3. SPECIAL EVENTS

Mahoning Valley Historical Society is hosting a Christmas Marketplace from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St., downtown Youngstown. The society is seeking holiday crafters, cookie bakers, candy makers and vendors. The show will be a combination of handmade artisan crafts and a traditional cookie walk. Table spaces can be reserved for $25. Space is limited; vendors can print an application form at mahoninghistory.org or call the historical society at 330-743-2589.

TOY GIVEAWAY

Nevels Temple Church of God in Christ, 939 Elm St., Youngstown, will host a free toy giveaway from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and again Nov. 29 for infants through age 17. To qualify participants cannot be signed up at Salvation Army, must have a current ID, must show proof of whole family income, must show legal papers of custody of children or proof of legal guardianship, must have a Social Security or medical card for each child or a printed form from Job and Family Services showing all information.

TRIPS

Jesus the Key Ministries and Men of Faith, the producers of Men’s Rally in the Valley, will host a bus trip to Lancaster, Pa., on Dec. 6 and 7. The trip will include “Samson,” a Christmas concert at American Music Theatre and a meal at the dinner theater, the Dutch Apple. This trip also will provide time for sightseeing and shopping.
