Some roads reopening after closures due to crashes

YOUNGSTOWN — YOUNGSTOWN

Officials are now in the process of reopening the state Route 711 connector after closing it due to numerous crashes.

Police estimated roughly 30 to 40 cars were involved in a pileup at state Route 711 this afternoon.

The crashes sent several people to the hospital.

The Madison Avenue Expressway has been reopened, and Himrod Avenue is expected to reopen by 10:30 p.m.
