The Poland library hosted a Halloween Painting Party for children in kindergarten through fifth-grade on Oct. 13.
Jan Luoma, instructor from Imagination! Creative Arts Studios, instructed the children how to create a painting of an owl sitting on a tree branch. All of the children got their own canvas, brushes and other surprises to make their paintings.
Some children came with their siblings while others came with their friends. The painting activity gave them the opportunity to spend bonding time with each other while making something they were able to take home.
The children sat at their seats and followed the directions from Luoma. There were drinks and snacks for the children to enjoy while the different layers of paints were drying. Many of the children were excited to finish their paintings and give them to their parents and other family members.
