Donation makes pet oxygen masks purchase possible
Recently, the Vranches family of Canfield won $300 at a Mahoning Shenango Kennel Club event and decided to pay it forward by donating their winnings to the Cardinal Joint Fire District (CJFD) for the purchase of pet oxygen masks. Debbie Vranches contacted the CJFD Chief Donald Hutchison and asked if the District could use the money for pet oxygen masks and the chief explained it could since currently pet masks were available only on their first line engines. Chief Hutchison personally thanked Mrs. Vranches and her daughter, Erin, when they delivered their contribution, which will be used in rescuing pets. The Vranches are members of the Mahoning Shenango Kennel Club, which made the funds possible, www.mahoningshenangokennelclub.com.
