Angels of Easter Seals will host its 30th Christmas event, ‘Silver and Gold Jubilee’

Angels of Easter Seals will host the Magic of the Angels Christmas for the 30th year. The theme this year is a “Silver and Gold Jubilee.” The event will take place at 6 p.m. Nov. 19 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Centre, 7440 South Ave. Stan Boney will serve as the master of ceremonies.

The jubilee will begin with a gourmet dinner followed by dancing, with music provided by The Sensations. The evening will include live and silent auctions with prizes of decorated trees, designer pieces, gift baskets and collectors items.

Featured auction prizes include a golf package to Peak’n’Peek Resort, dinner with Jim and Ellen Tressel at their home, a Butler Art exhibit courtesy of Dr. Louis Zona, a year of skating at the Skate Zone Fun Center in Boardman, and a fully decorated 7-foot Christmas tree. Angel ornaments also will be sold for the chance to win a jewelry piece by Komara Jewelers.

Raffle tickets will be available with the chance to win a $1,500 shopping spree sponsored by Eastwood Mall Complex. Tickets are six for $5 or $1 each and can be purchased by calling 330-599-5568 or through any member of the Angels of Easter Seals. The winner does not need to be present to win.

The jubilee will benefit Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties and Building Tomorrows, a therapy program for children with disabilities. During the event, guests will have the opportunity to buy ornaments, which will be used to decorate the Children’s Magical Tree.
