Mahoning Valley October housing sales released

Every county in the Mahoning Valley saw an increase in pending sales during the month of October.

In Mahoning County, closed sales were down 6.5 percent to 229, according to data recently released by the Youngstown/Columbiana Association of Realtors. Pending sales increased 25.7 percent year-over- year in October.

New listings in the county dropped 30.3 percent to 258, and the inventory of homes for sales dropped 35.8 percent.

The average sales price in the county increased 9.6 percent to $114,207.

In Columbiana County, closed sales were down by 13.8 percent year-over-year in October, according to the Youngstown/Columbiana Association of Realtors. Total sales in October were 69 compared with 80 made last year.

Pending sales increased 56.9 percent to 113 from 72 reported in October 2015.

New listings in the county dropped 2.7 percent year-over-year, and the inventory of homes for sale dropped 23.8 percent to 456.

The average sales price in the county increased 14.3 percent to $115,980.

Trumbull County’s closed sales were up 12 percent year-over-year to 196, according the Warren Area Board of Realtors.

Pending sales increased 49 percent from October 2015 to October 2016.

New listings in the county declined by 2.6 percent, and the inventory of homes for sale dropped 19 percent year over year.

The average sales price in the county declined by 3.4 percent to $95,121.
