Joe Maxx will mark its fifth year

YOUNGSTOWN

Joe Maxx Coffee Company, 47 E. Federal St., will mark its fifth anniversary Friday with a customer appreciation reception from 5 to 9 p.m.

The free event will include coffee, drinks and appetizers catered by V2 Restaurant.

The coffee shop, owned by Mike Avey, opened Nov. 21, 2011. It was the first in what has become a small chain.

Joe Maxx opened a branch in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson, Nev., this week. There are also locations in Cleveland and Florida, as well as a drive-up location on Canfield Road, in Youngstown’s Cornersburg neighborhood.
