Wallethub, the personal finance website, has compiled some fun Thanksgiving facts that put a number on some aspects of the holiday:

v 10:41: Number of hours and minutes the average American male would need to spend on the treadmill to burn the 4,500 calories consumed at the average Thanksgiving meal.

v $670-plus million: Estimated amount Americans spend on Thanksgiving turkeys each year, with 46 million turkeys killed for the holiday.

v $28 million: Amount of property loss caused by residential building fires each Thanksgiving.

v $299.60: Average person’s Thanksgiving weekend spending in 2015.

v 84 percent: Of people say they are most thankful for either family health or family relationships.

“Undercover” (8 p.m., BBC America): “Undercover” is a new political thriller about an esteemed London lawyer (Sophie Okonedo) who suddenly learns that her husband (Adrian Lester) has been hiding a secret past life from her. The cast includes Dennis Haysbert.

Rohrbaugh next in speaker series

LIBERTY

Paul Rohrbaugh, educator, historian and board game creator, will give a presentation at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kravitz Deli meeting room, 3135 Belmont Ave., as part of the William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society’s Memories of a Lifetime speaker series. Admission is $5 and includes refreshments. There will be a raffle and entertainment by Delores DePietro. Reservations are required, but walk-ins will be admitted if seats are available. A YSU professor and librarian, Rohrbaugh has been widely published. He is the founder of YSU’s Penguin Story Tellers and High Flying Dice Games, and has many awards from the university. The New Middletown resident is writing a biography of Joseph G. Butler.

Opera students in performances

YOUNGSTOWN

Students in the Dana School of Music opera workshop, directed by Misook Yun, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday in Bliss Hall’s Spotlight Theater. Both events are free to the public.

The ensemble will perform staged scenes with some creative costumes, including steampunk style. Selections will include “Octet” from Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi”; “Finale Trio” from Otto Nicolai’s “The Merry Wives of Windsor”; “Good Day, Miss Pinkerton” from Gian Carlo Menotti’s “The Old Maid and the Thief”; and others.

Parking is available in the M30 Wick Avenue parking deck for a nominal fee. Patrons are advised to watch for posted detours as construction progresses on Wick Avenue.
