THURSDAY

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $8 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, at the corner of Market Street and Western Reserve, will host a beef tips and noodles takeout dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Dinner is $8 and includes Angus beef tips, homestyle noodles, corn, roll with butter and a homemade cookie. Drive to the back door to place your order; it will be taken to your car. FRIDAY

Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Phone orders may be made from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and beginning at 7 a.m. Friday at 330-755-1316. Orders can be picked up from noon to 2 p.m. There will be no sale on Nov. 25.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday at the church hall. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $7 for a baker’s dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins welcome. Use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.75 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from noon to 3 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome. There will be no sale the week of Thanksgiving; sales resume Dec. 2.

SATURDAY

Andrews Hall at Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, will be the location of an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 9 to 1 p.m. The menu consists of buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, milk, coffee and juice with unlimited refills. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children under 6. Sponsors are Dave and Janet Flynn, Michael Simon and Brandy Lynn and Dave and Barbara McLeroy. Campbell Ecumenical Council of Churches will host its annual pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Campbell Elementary-Middle School, 2002 Community Circle. Tickets are $7 for adults and students and $5 for ages 11 and younger, and can be purchased at the Campbell City Schools Board of Education office, 280 6th St.

Lockwood United Methodist Church, 4570 Lockwood Blvd., will be the location of a free community Thanksgiving dinner from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The menu consists of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, cake, coffee and punch. It is sponsored by the S.O.A.R. team. All are welcome.

Southington American Legion Post 751 will host a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the post home, 3145 Warren-Burton Road. The cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children under 12. The menu includes mashed potatoes, coleslaw, vegetable, beverages and dessert.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will be the location of a pasta dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. to benefit Cub Scout Pack 119. There will be a bake sale, basket auction and 50-50 raffle. Takeout will be available. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for ages 5 to 12.

SUNDAY

Boardman Township Police Department FOP Lodge 43 will host a benefit spaghetti dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. at Operating Engineers Hall, 291 McClurg Road. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 10 and under. Carryout dinners will be available. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at Boardman Police Department from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For tickets or information, call Sgt. All proceeds will benefit Police Chaplain Larry Johnson, who is undergoing treatment for stage four brain cancer. Johnson has been a chaplain in the department since 2008.

Fowler Fire Department will host its monthly pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fire Station, state Route 193. Adults, $7; seniors, $6; and children $5. Preschoolers eat for free.

Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., will serve roast beef and turkey dinners from noon to 2 p.m. Sponsored by the Men’s Organization, proceeds will benefit mission projects. Tickets at the door will be $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. For information call 330-876-4485.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve homestyle breakfasts from 8 a.m. to noon sponsored by the auxiliary. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Menu items are eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

Church of Jesus Christ, 185 N. Canfield-Niles Road (Route 46), will host a drive-through kolachi nut roll sale from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday. The cost is $11 each.

TAKING ORDERS

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, will be selling chicken noodle soup, potato soup and spring noodle chicken soup for $5 a quart and $3 a pint, 15-inch pepperoni rolls for $8 each, bread for $2 a large loaf and $1.50 a small loaf and sticky buns at four for $2.50. Orders can be placed by calling 330-759-1460. Deadline for orders is today. Pickup will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Happy Hearts Junior Tamburitzans will host an apple or cherry strudel sale. Place orders to Windi Kresic at 330-980-9384 by Saturday. Pickup will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Croatian Home, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. Strudels are sold frozen and come with baking instructions. The cost is $10 each.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, North Lima, will sponsor a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. Nov. 26. The all-you-can-eat breakfast/brunch is available for a donation. Items are eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages.
