Illinois State 37, Missouri State 0

Jake Kolbe threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns while Jamal Towns and DeMarco Corbin each topped 100 yards rushing to lead Illinois State past Missouri State. Towns had 134 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries and Corbin had 102 yards on 11 carries. Anthony Warrum had 133 yards receiving off eight receptions and a touchdown. Mitchell Brees and Dalton Keene each picked off the Bears’ Brodie Lambert once. Illinois State (6-5, 4-4 Missouri Valley) held Missouri State (4-6, 2-5) to 77 yards passing and 116 yards rushing, 44 of which came from Lambert. Illinois State broke the game open in the second quarter when Kolbe threw a 38-yard TD to Warrum.
North Dakota State 41, Indiana State 17
FARGO, N.D.
Darrius Shepherd returned a punt 84 yards for a touchdown to kick-start a dominating first half as North Dakota State rolled to a win over Indiana State. Shepherd’s return came on Indiana State’s game-opening possession and quarterback Easton Stick followed with touchdowns runs of 16 and 42 yards as the Bison (9-1, 6-1 Missouri Valley) led 21-0 after one quarter. After Cam Pedersen’s 29-yard field goal made it 24-0, North Dakota State used two turnovers to push the lead to 34-7 at the half. Greg Menard’s fumble record at the Sycamores’ 13 led to King Frazier’s 2-yard touchdown run. Jalen Allison had a pick 31 seconds before halftime and Pedersen nailed a 45-yard field goal on the final play.
Northern Iowa 30, Western Illinois 23
MACOMB, ILL.
Michael Malloy ran for 92 yards and two touchdowns, Eli Dunne threw for two scores and Northern Iowa beat Western Illinois. Dunne completed 19 of 27 passes for 209 yards with one interception and Jalen Rima had four receptions for 79 yards for Northern Iowa (5-5, 4-3 Missouri Valley Conference). Malloy capped an 11-play, 78-yard game-opening drive with a 2-yard touchdown run and Dunne hit Logan Cunningham for a 9-yard score to make it 14-0 with 4:51 left in the first half. A touchdown pass from Dunne to Daurice Fountain and a 6-yard scoring run by Malloy made it 27-9 with 7:34 left and the Panthers held on from there.
South Dakota State 28, South Dakota 21
BROOKINGS, S.D.
Taryn Christion’s 7-yard touchdown run with 4:39 remaining lifted South Dakota State to a victory South Dakota. South Dakota (4-6, 3-4 Missouri Valley) scored with 11:53 remaining on Chris Streveler’s 3-yard run to tie the game, and on the first play after the ensuing kickoff, Alex Gray made an interception to give the ball back to the Coyotes (7-3, 6-1). But Miles Bergner’s 32-yard field-goal attempt went wide right and the Jackrabbits began their game-winning drive, going 80 yards in 10 plays. Christion scored on a 20-yard run to give South Dakota State a 21-14 lead late in the third quarter.
