Judge sentences man after drug charges

Judge Ronald Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court sentenced Rafael L. Patterson, 26, of Laurelwood Drive and Robert Lane, to five years’ probation and ordered him to pay a $22,500 fine Thursday after Patterson pleaded guilty earlier to nine drug-trafficking and possession charges.

Greene Twp. is put on ‘unauditable’ list

GREENE

Incomplete financial records prompted state Auditor Dave Yost to place Greene Township in Trumbull County on the “unauditable” list.

During the course of the regular financial audit of Greene Township for the period Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 31, 2015, public accounting firm Perry & Associates noted the incomplete financial records.

As a result, the state auditor office determined that the condition of the township’s financial records was not adequate to complete the audit.

In a letter to the township, the state auditor provided a list of records required to complete the audit.

Within 90 days of the date of the letter, the township must revise its financial records and provide the necessary data.
