Kirkmere students in opera ‘Carmen’

YOUNGSTOWN

Forty students in Kirkmere Elementary School’s creative and performing arts program will perform in Opera Western Reserve’s production of “Carmen” tonight at Stambaugh Auditorium.

The students will be in the Street scene and as part of the chorus, under the direction of vocal music teacher Molly Gavin. The opera starts at 7:30 p.m. Call 330-259-0555 for tickets.

Appreciation night for first responders

Ryes Craft Beer and Whiskey and Imbibe Martini Bar, both at 124 W. Federal St., downtown, will have an appreciation night for first responders tonight from 6 to 9 with free appetizers.

Christmas concert at Westminster

The Westminster College Symphony Orchestra will present its Christmas Pops! concert Nov. 20 at 3 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. Admission is free.
