ELECTION RESULTS | Hubbard school levy failing in early voting
WARREN — An unofficial tally of 1,740 absentee voters shows a new, 10-year, 7.1-mill emergency operating levy for the Hubbard Exempted Village School District failing, with 56.1 percent of absentee voters rejecting the levy.
The tax would generate $1.44 million annually and cost the owner of a $100,000 home $248.50 per year. Proponents say the levy revenue is necessary to offset state funding cuts.
