election day | Food sales set today

Ohio poll hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Pennsylvania poll hours are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestwood Drive, Boardman: A bake sale starts at 6:30 a.m. with cookies, muffins, pies, doughnuts and coffee. The quilters group of the church also will have handmade items for sale.

Central Christian Church, 218 Meadowbrook Road, Hermitage, Pa.: A bake sale will start at 7 a.m. Featured will be fruit pies and cobblers, cookies, coffee cakes, strudel, fudge, snack mix and breads. Proceeds will benefit the church.

Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1906 Wick-Campbell Road, Hubbard: A Swiss steak dinner is planned from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult dinners will be $9 and a child’s portion will be $5. The menu includes homestyle mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, bread and beverage. Takeouts and baked goods will be available.

Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman: The women’s group will sponsor a food and bake sale starting at 6:30 a.m. until sold out. Featured will be baked goods made by church members. Lunch foods available will be plain, sauerkraut and chili hot dogs, homemade sloppy joes and homemade vegetable beef barley and wedding soups.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3325 Morefield Road, Hermitage: Bake sale is planned from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. in fellowship hall by the Dorcas organization.

Lord of Life Church of Canfield will again serve its annual spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m. in Canfield High School cafeteria, 100 Cardinal Drive. The dinner includes homemade meat sauce, salad, rolls and butter, beverage and an assortment of homemade desserts. Takeout orders are available. Tickets will be available at the door or in advance by calling the church office at 330-533-3531. The cost for adults is $8, students, $4, and children under 4 eat free. Proceeds are earmarked for various ministries at the church.

St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown: Maxwell Hall will be the site of a bake sale starting at 6:30 a.m. Breakfast sandwiches with sausage and egg also will be sold. Lunch foods are hot dogs, sloppy joes, cheeseburgers and french fries.
