Columbiana Chamber of Commerce prepares for holiday season

COLUMBIANA

Columbiana Chamber of Commerce will begin the holiday season with a series of events Nov. 18-20.

Sounds of the Season on the Square, hosted by Crown Theater Productions, will start the festivities from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18. A lighting ceremony of the town tree will take place at 6, followed by the annual Christmas parade at 6:30.

Parade lineup will begin at 6 p.m. on Stanton Avenue. The Joy of Christmas light show will begin at 7 p.m., and the night will close with the Columbiana Christmas Spectacular at 8 p.m. in Main Street Theater.

Hot chocolate will be provided by Gamma Eta Sorority. Grace Church will remain open throughout the evening for spectators to warm up, and vendors will host open houses.

On Nov. 19, Crestview High School will host the Rebel Run 5K Race and Fun Walk at 8:30 a.m. St. Jude Church will host its annual craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Meals on Wheels will host a stuffed-potato luncheon at Firestone Park Pavilion No. 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendants can end the day with a Christmas hayride from 6 to 9 p.m.

The Christmas Spectacular show will be presented again at 8 p.m. Nov. 19 and 2 p.m. Nov. 20 in Main Street Theater.
