UPDATE | Police call off search for reported gunman

YOUNGSTOWN — Police have called off their search for a man who may have had a gun near the Victory Estates apartment complex.

Officers were called about 10:50 a.m. for a possible shooting in the 1400 blocked McGuffey Road. When an officer saw a person matching the description of the suspect, the man ran into the woods.

Police searched with a dog but could not find anyone.

No one was hurt.
