Austintown Bounce worked with Home Savings and Loan to host its annual Halloween Party on Oct. 21.

One hundred and thirty children attended the event to participate in the Halloween activities. Many of the children arrived in their Halloween costumes and got a treat bag as they entered the door. The treat bags consisted of a pencil and a ticket used to guess how many pieces of candy were in a jar. The winner would receive a special prize. The children used their treat bags as a trick or treat bag during the parade.

The event was open from 6-9 p.m. and had a steady stream of guests coming in throughout the event.

The children could participate in a Halloween parade and there were four stations set up for children to stop and and receive a piece of candy.

The concession stand sold snacks and the bounce houses and other arcade games were open for the children to play with.

Bruce Shepas, co-owner, said he was happy with the turnout. This year’s Halloween party brought in the most people than any previous party. Shepas was expecting close to 100 children and his expectations were surpassed.

The Halloween party has been an event that Austintown Bounce has hosted since Shepas and co-owner Harold Porter opened the business. With the growing success, the Halloween party will continue to be hosted by Austintown Bounce.

Several other holiday parties are hosted at Austintown Bounce throughout the year. More information can be found on the Austintown Bounce Facebook page.
