What: The gardens of her home in Greece and in Ohio inspire the work of Vasiliki (Lilian) Filippou. Ripening olives, pine cones, brightly colored architecture and blue seas are skillfully captured in her watercolor works, which have been softly accented with gold.

Sculptural Garden Lanterns

When: Nov. 15, 6 to 7:45 p.m.

What: Using a lightweight cement mixture, we will cast multiple pieces for a garden lantern. Once dried, you can stack the pieces up to create a garden sculpture that lights up at night. Dan Dinsio, BFA and Italian-trained stone sculptor, will show how.

Holiday Pots

When: Nov. 21, 9:30 a.m. to noon

What: Join Margaret and Pam to a look at turning your pots into holiday masterpieces. They’ll cover form and style, along with finding and using several kinds of greenery, berries and other cuttings from your landscape. Go beyond the filler, thriller and spiller to turn your pots and planters into stunning displays for the holiday season.

Bread Making 101

When: Nov. 19, noon to 4 p.m.

What: Grab your apron and come learn the basics of turning flour, water, salt and yeast into a scrumptious loaf of bread with Sara Scudier. After attending this class, you won’t need to go to the store to buy bread, you can make your own. The class will feature both lecture and hands-on with mixing, kneading, proofing, shaping and baking. Attendees will take home their own loaf of bread.
