Interstate 80 on ramp closes Wednesday

On Wednesday, a major access ramp to Interstate 80 at a busy truck-stop interchange will close for roadway construction, and a bridge over the Mahoning River will close for replacement.

The entrance ramp from Salt Springs Road to Interstate 80 eastbound in Weathersfield Township will be closed through early July.

The detour will be Interstate 80 westbound to state Route 46 to Interstate 80 eastbound, the Ohio Department of Transportation has announced.

The construction to be done there is part of a $91.5 million project to widen Interstate 80 between state Routes 11 and 193, which is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2018.

Also on Wednesday, the Nelson Moser Road bridge over the Mahoning River in Warren Township will close for a $1.1 million replacement project, with the new bridge opening in late October or early November.

The detour will be Braceville-Robinson Drive to state Route 82 to Diehl South Road to Park Road.

Today, state Route 165 between state Routes 626 and 7 in Beaver Township will be closed through June 13 for a culvert replacement.

The detour will be over state Routes 7, 164 and 626.

Beginning Wednesday, state Route 5 between state Routes 82 and 46 in Cortland and Bazetta will have various nightly lane restrictions for resurfacing between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. until further notice.

Beginning Friday, the ramp from Homeview Avenue to state Route 5 westbound in Warren Township will be closed through early September for road construction.

The detour will be Park Road to Diehl Road.

On Monday, Anderson Morris Road in Liberty will close between U.S. Route 422 and Oriel Rogers Road through Oct. 6 for replacement of the bridge carrying Anderson Morris Road over Squaw Creek.

The recommended detour is west on Anderson Morris, south on 422, east on Tibbetts-Wick Road, north on Pleasant Valley Road and west on Oriel Rogers.

State Route 305 in Southington, just east of the Portage County line, will be closed Monday to June 9 for a culvert replacement.

The detour will be U.S. Route 422 to state Route 282.

The Ohio Turnpike Commission has announced that the Herbert Road bridge over the turnpike in Canfield will be closed for repairs Monday to June 27; and that the Beard Road bridge over the turnpike in Springfield Township will be closed for repairs from June 13 through July 3.

Beginning Monday and until further notice, motorists will encounter various lane restrictions for repaving of U.S. Routes 62 and 224 and state Route 46 in the city of Canfield, ODOT announced.

From June 9-17, state Route 82 in Braceville between state Routes 534 and 5 will be closed for a culvert replacement.

The detour will be state Route 534 to state Route 5.
